i would most certainly recommend it.
people say they dont wanna get one because it will make them worry all the more... at first i couldnt find any heartbeat at all, but for some reason I knew all was fine and i persisted with it until I did.
I rented my from anawiz, look online... they're fab. I have the LCD screen doppler so even if you dont hear a hb you know your baby is ok in there as it shows you on the screen whenever it picks up the slightest beat...
once you see it going passed 144 beats and raising higher, you know its found your little one, whether you heard it or not

Others have found HB's at 8 weeks..brave ladies.

Right underneath the price of the doppler should be an option that says "rent this doppler from" and the price...
You click on that..
It takes you to the payment page, £14.95 + £5 postage- you pay that upfront and then you pay thereafter each month (£14) until you want to send it back.
They say as early as 10 weeks, but im 9 weeks and I got my babies HB straight away on the LCD screen without hearing it...
I think it also depends on how strong your stomache muscles are and how much a person weighs that determines how soon the HB can be picked up..
