| You might find that milky cereal isn't the best thing to have in the morning. Sometimes toast can be better. Also, try eating something before you actually get out of bed, this might ease the nausea slightly (also a good excuse to get your other half to bring you breakfast in bed!?).
Also, try and eat something before you go to bed too as the sickness normally kicks in when your blood sugars fall very low so this should stop this occurring.
Hope you feel better soon. x | | | | Status: Offline

| When mine forst hit I found keeping a stash of ginger biskuits next to the bed helped. I could nibble on one before getting out of bed. As it got worse for me ginger didn't help at all. It actually made it worse.
I've read in some places that sucking on a slice of lemon helps. And also nibbling of slices of cucumber dipped in cold water. Apparently that helps too.
I found just trying got make sure there was always something in my stomach helped the most out of all the home remedies. In the end I needed a prescription because mine got really bad.
I hope you manage. It's a part of pregnancy I haven't missed yet and doubt I ever will. | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | milk is harder to digest than most other foods so it will likely make your sickness worse.
i had morning sickness very badly, vomiting everything up daily and i'm still having bouts of it. i even lost weight. the stuff that i ate were rice crackers, ice blocks, vegie/fruit juice, energy replacing drinks like lucozade and berocca, soup, and bread. that's pretty much what i lived off. ooh and ice chips. and lots of water.
take your pre-natal vitamin during your least sickly time of the day/night so that you don't throw it up (trust me, besides from missing out on the vitamin working, they taste TERRIBLE throwing them up).
i sympathise because morning sickness can be very draining, both emotionally and phsyically. make sure you get lots of rest too. good luck |
