Oh that doesn't sound to good - if its not doubling in a few days can result in miscarriage!! i know i should prepare myself for the worst until i get confirmed positive..xx

well im going back to docs on thursday to see if line gets darker and then take it from there i suppose! oh im scared! xx

Its hard not to worry though - sometimes reading what people put on here about lines not getting darker scares me. I'll keep you posted! Also let me know if you are or not! x

how do you know your own hcg levels if you wee on a stick is the a secret i don't know about

It is important to note that pregnancy tests DO NOT indicate how pregnant you are - just whether the hormone is detectable. The darker the line does not indicate a higher level of hormone. Stop testing!!!!

i had my hcg levels tested via blood test flutterbaby, they test them then repeat after 48 hrs to check they are doubling xx

oh i see now i had the faintest line ever when i found out with my first and i was 7 months preg no weight gain the only reason i tested was because milk in coming in

If you are using a pregnancy test- that is all it is - a yes or no - the lines are not meant to get darker!! And darker lines do not indicate things are going good or anything.

My tests where all very faint - its just the amount of ink in them.

They give no indication as to the progress of the pregnancy.

If you tested positive congrats! Go and tell the docs and then you just have to wait and see. Most docs will not do any blood test/hcg tests unless you are bleeding or in pain!

REALLY!!!! Oh i didn't know that! ha ha! thank you! So i am pregnant then?? WOO HOO!!! Done another test yesterday and it didn't show anything, so throw it away but got out the bin to show OH and it had a line there! Does that mean its still a positive even though it didn't come up in time recommended??????
