my diet


ive never been a great eater. by that i mean healthy eater. ive also never been a consistent eater, i've usually just picked throughout the day and had a good supper every night.
i see that i am bringing those old habits into my pregnancy, but am trying to break them. i see myself not eating breakfast much, going throughout my work day with out eating. when i come home i have a snack and then dinner later on.
i'm trying to eat more, but i just never feel hungry.
are the prenatal pills that i take every morning kinda making up for what i'm not eating during the day for nutrition value?
i am trying to amp up my eating, i'm eating more for sure on my days off and when i'm home, but just wondering.

I'm a bit like that too.
I never have really been one for eating breakfast, too early for me to even think about food!
I have to be in town around lunch time collecting my son from playgroup and I often have to force myself to eat something before I go- if I don't the bus makes me feel sick

Yet some days I am starving! I can go get a tuna toastie and want another one! Lol

But most of the time I am trying to think of something to eat and everything I think of / look at / smell makes me feel nausius and it takes me aages to find something I feel I can stomach! Went all the way round tescos last time and eventually settled on a cheese string! lol

Hey my first how far along are you?
I am usually (before pregnancy) a pretty avid eater lol
but right now i have NO want for food to save my life.
and when i do eat its less than half of what i would usually
eat in a normal sitting. Like my mom said dont worry you
wont be able to eat enough come second trimester. Your
bean is very small and does not need too much nutrients ,
think of all the ladys with MS that dont hardly eat anything.
Keep trying to up your intake and talk to your dr about it
but i think it should be fine

They say you should eat t3 meals a day and snack in between. Prenatal vitamins are not food, they just give you what the food that you eat might not-aaalll the goodies for the baby. I used to eat lots of junk food but now I am eat very healthy. We have to gain weight for the baby. xxx

You don't need to worry about gaining weight during first trimester. As long as you are eating fairly healthy that is fine. It isn't until second trimester you need to eat a little more, but it's not as much as people think...only an extra 300 calories a day.

I've had to completely change the way I eat. No more fast food and junk, skipping breakfast, etc. I now eat oatmeal and fruit for breakfast, snack on granola and banana chips, eat a Lean Cuisine for lunch, and a healthy supper. I also snack on raw veggies. It's been easier than I thought because I am ALWAYS hungry. In fact, just typing this is making me hungry and I just had a peanut butter sandwich!

If you find you don't have an appetite you might try starting with smoothies.

i used to eat breakfast when i got into work, so a god couple of hours after i woke up, but now i'm needing to eat breakfast when i get up because otherwise i feel ill.
