Hi to all ….had my bfp’s two days ago….went to docs this morning and have been referred to the hospital for my dating scan so just waiting on that…. (if I go on the first day of my last period then im about 7 weeks)….so just have a few questions for you….

1. How long did you have to wait to get a dating scan?
2. When did you first start having symptoms….(I think the sickness is just starting for me)
3. Are most of you still having sex? (im not sure whether to or not??? Will it affect the chances of a mc?)

Although I am not 100% certain on the dating of my pregnancy, my doctor is still just sending me for the normal, one scan at 20 weeks.

This does vary in different parts of the world. Many had their's at 12 weeks and some sooner.

The major symptom I had to let me know I was pregnant was the hunger, especially first thing in the a.m. I usually can go all day until suppertime without eating. This happened at 7 weeks. Later, my boobs starting hurting, I was getting tired more quickly, etc.

Yes, I do still have sex....however, certainly not as much as OH would like

They normally do a dating scan around 12 weeks-ish, but if they can date it accurately at an earlier scan, they will. I was dated at 8 weeks.

The sickness starts at different times for everyone, if at all ( lucky buggers who don't get it ). The first symptoms for me were really sore boobs and extreme tiredness,

As for the sex.... have a read of this I still haven't had the courage to have sex

It won't cause a miscarraige... but I've heard you may bleed abit after, just with everything being so sensitive and more blood flow to the cerviz and womb.

I had a dating scan around 13 weeks. I did still have sex, though not often because I just didn't feel like it. The symptoms started for me around 5.5 weeks (that's when the nausea hit)!

Thanks everyone…slightly naseous at the moment….boobs are only slightly tender but I have implants so not sure if that has affected them!!! The only noticable different is im weeing every five minutes!!!!!

Like most people have said to you, your dating scan is approx 12 weeks.
I started to feel symptoms approx 5 weeks of sore breats, very tender to touch, and then just recently 7 weeks of nausea, not nice at all.
Ive had sex once, and didnt find it as enjoyable as usual, unsure weather it's because im concentrating on baby!

Usually your scan is at 12 weeks,but as some said,different factors determine this so I had my first scan at 8 weeks...
I started feeling nauseuos at approximatly 5 weeks,before I knew I was pregnant...
But the late it's starts,the better for you....

I thought I was further on that I am. Got an early scan due to some bleeding last week and I am only 7 weeks today Vs 11 weeks that I thought I was. My 12 week scan has now been put back 3 weeks!

I am very tired, could sleep all night if let. Boobies sore now but no sickness as yet.

No sex for me but I hear it can make you bleed as they asked me this when I went for my early scan.

Dating scans are 12 wks and 20 wks in UK but you could source a private clinic that you could have a scan at???

Im only 5 weeks so symptoms only nipple tingle, mild cramping and weeing alot!!!

Sex- whats that???
