Not sure how they do things there. I had a scan at 13 weeks to determine the date and had another one at 20 weeks for the anatomy scan (which they were able to tell me the gender at.)

i thought we had a 10-12 week dating scan then a 20-22 week one which is the Anomaly scan if they cant tell me at the scan what sex im having ill be i been lookin forward to it...!!

Im worried if i cancel it to postpone it i wont get in as they sed they busy round april - may for scans!!!

I had my first one at 13 weeks and my second one at 22 weeks. I did have a 16 week appointment at the hospital but didnt have a scan, just a chat with the doc, he listened to the babys heart etc. Hope you get it sorted so you can find out the sex xXx

hey thanks for replies guys ive now changed my scan for 4 weeks later being 15th may woop so ill be 20-21 weeks then so ill be able to find out if pink or blue cant wait for the scan now

My first scan at 8 weeks next one will be at 12 and I'll find out the sex at 15 weeks...
You can find it out when you're 16 weeks for sure....

You could always pay for an private scan if you can't wait. Sonographer who did my 21 week scan said she would tell people sex of baby if she could see , but main reason was to check for abnormalities., measurements etc. Privately they have more time to try and get a good look between the legs.

Ann-Marie just found out the sex of her baby from a private scan, and she's 12 weeks. I am so amazed they found out so early yet she had a very good sonographer

I don't think they can determine gender this early through a regular ultrasound though, yet, I could be very wrong
