I had a big gush of bright red blood and a clot about the size of a 10p when I was 8+4. I got checked out and everything was fine - I've just had my dating scan and I'm now 14 weeks and Baby B is very healthy. I know it's hard to think positively but I'm sure everthing will be ok.

Honey? Clotting isn't the end of the world. Trust me. Last night I was called into the hospital by my doctor after calling him and saying I was spotting bright red and had passed a dark clot and what appeared to be some tissue. He'd been delivering a baby so was there and said "come on down I have my tech here we'll take a peek" and I'm sure was figuring on having to do a D&C at the same time so would rather be in hospital settings. He's on staff there anyway so has surgical rights etc. Anyway. Went in after having a scan on Dec 2nd that was in the ER due to spotting and was told at that time that there was a 5wk+3 fetus and not the 8wk+2 fetus that was supposed to be there but a heart rate of 156 BPM and HCG levels were normal. Last night we ultrasounded and despite bright red blood his tech (who's another OB/GYN from Venezuela redoing her medical residency to qualify here) measured a VERY HEALTHY 7wk+4 active (head banging or at least lifting their head to " 'sup?") fetus with a great yolk sac and a heart rate of 196 BPM that had implanted smack dab in the center of my uterus with NO sign of why I was bleeding. Further more the blood and urine he ran showed my HCG had doubled since the 2nd so we're AWESOME! US also showed my cervix was long and closed. So I'm supposed to rest, relax, eat and drink well and go back to his office on Tuesday for another scan and more bloods.

Chickadee? Clotting is not the end of the world. Like so many people say it could be "breakthrough" bleeding around the time AF is due or it could be due to your stretching uterus or the placenta laying too low (they can't see that until after 10wks+) which will resolve as this grow and stretch.

Go in for the scan and my fingers are crossed but know it's not the end of the world. I know I thought it was and cried and cried and cried to my OH over the phone before going in. But try and relax watch some TV and rest.

fx'ed for you... bleeding can mean anything... the best thing you are doing is getting medical attention.

Thank you all so much I went into the ER they took blood work, and came back to tell me that my HCG level was a 2 and that my blood came back as a negative pregnancy. They presumed to tell me that the 4 HPT's I took were false positives and had no explanation as to why my blood came back positive 4 days ago. All they could tell me was that I was no longer pregnant. I am SHOCKED and puzzled. I have since passed another clot about as big as a tennis ball :/ I am so thankful for the support and love of my family though..they are truly AMAZING and I am so blessed to have them in my life.

Hopefully as of now I am extremely fertile because of this and hope to god to come back and STAY with you lovely ladies VERY VERY soon!
