Unhappy

I can't relax!

Can anyone recommend any relaxation strategies?? I'm feeling extremely anxious right now and just wanted to know if anyone has any relaxation tips.

Not sure what to try and what is safe etc

Any suggestions would be welcomed...I'll try anything!!

I drink alot of camomille tea which helps me. Big deep bubble bath can do wonders, and sometimes just shutting myself off with a book! Hope you manage to relax hon. Is there anything specific you're anxious about?

Doing a hobby or reading a book usually helps me shut down my anxiety.

Draw up a warm bubble bath, dim the lights and seclude yourself from everyone and just relax or take a well deserved nap with no interuptions.

Listen to your favourite music (in the bath, with lots of bubbles) with a good magazine.

I find a good walk also really helps me relax too xx

The 'tense & relax' technique really works. You start from your toes, and tense and relax each part of your body, moving your way up... let you fingers relax.... your chin and tongue too... even if you end up looking like your catching flies... and listen to some soothing music. I find aromatherapy candles really relaxing too

I'd say distraction works best for me. Because I can't relax. My mind wanders too much. That's when the problems hit. So I'd suggest completely distracting yourself.
Anything you enjoy doing as a hobby that involves concentration works. Like painting or beading. Anything that gets your tongue sticking out and your forhead frowning with intense concentration LOL
