I was advised by my sister to use baby oil on wet skin. That did the trick for her. She has about 2 stretch marks....lucky cow!!

I couldn't live without my bio-oil, I use it in the bath everyday and also all over - boobs and all! Not a stretch mark in sight. I also had some yucky scars on my legs from old spots and they're begun to become fainter! Honestly give it a go xx xx

Not sure about any different types, I just use the oil in the little plastic jar, they advise you to use it early on to try and prevent any stretchies from appearing!

Get rubbing!
Oh only bad point - the smell makes me gag!

I've only seen one type of bio oil. Seen it advertised on TV too for stretch marks also.

bio-oil the best invention in the world!! get some, get tons i keep slapping it on everyday, probably a bit too early for stretchmarks but i dont have any and the few i did have almost disappeared....plus it goes on warm and smells lovely without leaving that nasty greasy feeling on my skin all day.

highly highly recommended!
