Wii Fit while pregnant

Hi, Just wondering if any of you know, what do you think the limits are on the wii fit?

I know that some of the yoga positions might be a bit to strenuous, but what about the jogging?

Just trying to keep the excess weight off while still being at a healthy weight for squishy.

Any tips on what exercise is to much would be appreciated

Charlotte

doctors usually recommend that you just continue as you were pre pregnancy, so if you are used to jogging you can continue... i think that's right! fitness has never been my top priority!.. i need to take a leaf out of your book. x

Hello...
Sorry just saw it and popping over from 2nd tri...
I'm not to sure on your question but i'd also like to know myself because before I knew I was pregnant I was on the wii fit quite a bit and when found out I stopped!

Midwife told me not to do serious excercise to pull any muscles or anything, but walking, swimming and that is good? I'm sure light jogging and walking up and down the wii board should be fine... but i'm not 100% sure!

Sorry for not really being any help!

I think the yoga is fine maybe not the tree one, cos i usually fall over and if my balance is gonna get worse its really not a good idea, and also maybe not the hula hooping. And some of the balance ones are ok. Its all a bit silly really. I dont know what i can and cant do

xx

Aww I felt the same about it because I was getting really into it aswell..

I'm sure if you just take it really easy until you see your doctor/midwife.. and mention it to them and see what they have to say

I tend to just try do some swimming nowadays as I am a little chubby already and don't wanna end up gaining loads loads more lol and to try keep fit.. it's just sometimes hard to excerise when i'm feeling so blobby and bluerrgh! haha!

Yeah, i just dont feel comfortable going swimming lol. I have to get my body out, and right now, im a bit conscious of the wobbly bits. Dont think i have anything that will fit my boobs into lol. I'll just stick to the bath tub hehe. And i'll probably give up on the wii fit soon lol. The only good thing is i haven't passed my driving test so unless my partner can drive me somewhere i get to walk WOOHOO. Sense the sarcasm? Lol, so that's kind of excerise xx

i think the Wii fit would be good!
Apart from the hula hooping haha! It can get a bit vigarous! Unless that was just me trying to beat a score! xx

I have been told I am OK to keep going rugby training, so long as I don't do contact any more!!
I think like previous posters said if you are used to doing exercise it's good to continue, but don't take up something new!
I think the advice is to not let your heart rate over about 150, I remember that from first time round...
