Hi Ladies, and possibly guys - (for all the daddy's)


I had spotting on Thursday morning, and went to the doctors. He said to have the week off work and rest, and that he would try and get me a scan but it might be waaay to soon and you wouldn't see anything.

The hospital rang on Friday and said i needed a blood test. They took my blood and said, you'll have results by Monday. So that's tomorrow BUT whats confusing me, is they never said what results. Surely if it was for HCG i should have another blood test on Monday to see if the levels had dropped - to show if it was a miscarriage.

Argh, i hate hospitals. They never give you enough information, so i'm hoping you ladies can,

Probably HCG and progesterone? They probably have a standard panel they run for pregnant women with all the basics!

the results will be to see if there is much HCG in your blood or not.. i think theres a certain level it has to be over to actually be pregnant. they know what theyre looking for hun dont worry good luck x

Thats what i thought. Maybe something that says as you are this far gone you should have so much of the HCG hormone in your body.
