Drinking alcohol----how stupid!!!!

ok if ur already offended dont read!

im soo mad at people who still want to drink when they are pregnant its wrong! if your pregnant and want the baby dont drink at all have non-alcoholic wines and moctails (fake alcohol drinks). miscarrages happen in the first trimester so why chance it and DRINK. im sorry i dont have any sympathy for people who drink then lose the baby cuz you shouldnt be drinking I apploize but im tired of people doing things they shouldnt there are millions of women who cant have babies and by you disrespecting your body your hurting everyone.

Can i just say that this is you're opinion! And by the sounds of it on this site not many agree with you. I'm not offended as i believe that everyone is entitled to there opinion. I stopped drinking as soon as i got my BFP but yes i may have a white wine spritzer at xmas with my dinner.
Now what i do find quite disrespectful of you is that you say these women who do want a glass of wine or that are practically inconsiderate!!!
I don't agree with you there, i feel extrememly sorry for all the women out there having miscarrige's and that are unable to have children but did you know that one of the biggest reason's that people miscarry is because as soon as they become pregnant they change there whole lifestyle which can do more damage than good? Most women on this site have been TTC for quite some time and you come along and tell them to practically change everything! This is more damaging then good. People come on this site for reasurance and to make friends not to be judged!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the other post had only a little to do with this I know a girl who drank everyday in her pregnancy and then wondered why she lost it Im sorry but if you really want this baby and tried for it for a while then why even chance it?

I LOVE my child and i would do anything for it and that means not smoking drinking or eating what im not suppost to.

it makes me sad that others dont feel the same

i wont be drinking either as it has been proved to very harmful to your baby so why risk for the sake of what

when you lose a baby you soon realise that people dont appreciate being pregnant an dharm their babies for their own pleasure, whats the point just ditch the wine for the few months that you have it to

but smoking also goes along these line especially when purposely TTC it really annoys me

rant over and entitled to

so are you saying that every single person that has abit of junk food, or has a lil bit of wine, or for those that smoked and struggled to give up but finally did, and those that like sweets and some sugars..... which you have to have in proportions don't love there child just because they don't stick 100% to the rules?
Me and others that are talking about havin a small one off drink on xmas day are not you're friend that drank everyday are we? One small drink is not going to cause us to miscarry.
But because this is our opinion, according to you we do not care or love the children growing inside us????

how ridiculous to imply that because someone has had a drink they deserve to miscarry! I think if you speak to any medical professional they will tell you that a occassional drink in pregnancy is harmless! It's when women are drinking copious amounts that here is a risk of fetal alcohol syndrome! What about the many women who don't find out they are pregnant until later and may have had a few drinks before finding out?

I certainly do not agree with people who still go out and get pissed whilst pregnant but if I want to have a small glass of red on Xmas day I certainly will and I certainly DO NOT deserve to miscarry!!

Please don't take me wrong i am not saying that either of you are wrong in you're opinions.
I was a smoker and was planning to TTC and found it very hard to give up but have since done so when i got my BFP, i do not drink now that i am pregnant. Not because it's not good for me but because i don't really drink anyway. But my mum is T-total and we always have half a glass of wine together on xmas day. I don't see a problem in half a glass?
I don't agree with people smoking throughout there pregnancy or drinking throughout but it is there choice to do so if they wish? Many people who do this have healthy children? Maybe more by luck who knows??
