Doppler

Last week I ordered the Angel Sounds doppler and I just have to share with everyone how amazing it has been hearing the little one's heartbeat. It's supposed to start working well from week 12 so I thought I'd give it a go, and though was prepared for not finding the heartbeat (have heard others have had some trouble with this), after some searching there it was!! Like a tiny little horse racing in my belly! I couldn't help crying when I heard it the first time, it was so amazing. When hubby came home, got him to listen, and he cried, too

So I definitely recommend this, when you get to the point that it's possible to use it, as it makes the whole thing seem so much more real, to both you and your partner, or anyone else you want to share it with.

I have the Angelsounds too. For people that can't find heartbeat with this doppler, the trick is to use a little bit of gel and go low down with it, just above your pubic line. Baby sometimes switches from which side it is sat on too. Mine is still quite low down at 22+ weeks, he/she is only just starting to move up a little towards my belly button.

I've got that one too and never had any problems with it but I didn't get it till I was 16 or 17 weeks.

Is this the one with the earphones?

I had a normal prob doppler & I thought I heard the HB but my plus was I had a digital display and you know if its the babies HB by the rate & basically realised it actually wasn't - Lots of other sounds in there.

Amazing though isn't it

So glad that your doppler is working well!

I have a Hi-bebe but have put it away until my next doctor's appointment a week from now. I tried twice but couldn't find mine very easily and gave up quickly.

Wobbles,
yes this is the one with the earphones. You can plug two sets of earphones in at the same time, so you can share the experience with your partner or someone else. Or just plug it in to loudspeakers. There's also a recording cable so you can record the sound. There's also a suggestion that you can record the mommy's heartbeat and play to calm the baby down after it's born.

yes i agree too....

I bought the angelsounds doppler in white and pink from ebay and it was only £25.00. I tried every night but to no avail from 12 weeks to find the heartbeat.. Then one very special night at 15weeks there it was loud and proud, I was so shocked i called the oh and lost it lol
I do really appreciate the fact that if I am feeling a little bit down or need a bit of reassurance I can go and have some special time with tommy.
I find that if you have a full bladder before you try its much easier, start really low doen on your pubic bone (youll think nooo this is too low but its not that will be the right place) listen for the movements of your little one and when you hear the placenta (the wooshing sound) your not that far away move the doppler really slowly and angle the doppler aswell whislt its stationary in one place as ive missed it a few times by moving it rather than angling the doppler!!

I WOULD DEF RECOMMEND BUYING ONE IF YOU CAN AFFORD IT

h xx
