First Doctors Appointment

We have our doctors appointment on Wednesday and boyo was asking me what will happen but I have no idea!

Have any of you had yours? What was the drill?

I'm not expecting much to be done, not even sure she will do a test?

i dont know if its the same there, mine was pretty useless lol. They take your history tell you how far along you are and when you are due (which you know already) pretty much it, for my my big one is my 8 week, the physical and ALL the blood work gets done (there's a lot lol)

At our first one she told us the due date from her little chart thing (although we already knew) and gave us a bounty pack with various info in etc.

We didnt have a test done because I'd already done about 20!

OH forgot to add they collected pee from me and did a dip test, they collect pee from every appointment i go into now.

I had mine on Thursday, and all she did was tell me my due date, asked me where I wanted to have the baby so she could get a dating scan booked, and took my blood pressure.

mind just said 'have you took a test' i mean how stupid was that!!

then she asked how it happed, trying, mistake, accident etc...
then she asked how far along i was - and told me that the mw would be in touch soon

what a waste of freakin time

My appointment is Wed too! Unfortunately my doc is on mat leave so the replacement doc is the "on call" doc and only in the office 3 days a week. The receptionist hesitated to even schedule an appt because she's on call, they wanted me to call in when she's in the office and check for an opening. So the first appt should be interesting, sorry for the rant. They told me the appt is only to confirm my pregnancy and the full exam is later.

Mine will be in a week... are they supposed to do an ultrasound? The baby should be about 4 weeks.. I want that first picture

At my first appt they had me do a urine sample and then they did a pregnancy test there to confirm. Then they figured out my estimated due date, gave me some papers to read over about down syndrome testing etc, she filled out some papers for me to have bloodwork taken in the lab downstairs and gave me another form to call and book my first ultrasound.

I have a second appt this coming week where she wants to go over my family medical history.

i had mine on friday pops and did a pee and dip test to confirm prescribed folic acid and wrote a note for my midwife to get in touch. xxxx
