I have my first appt with the doc on Dec 10th. I had an appt with her the day I did the hpt for something else. So I mentioned my positive. The first appt is a consultation, lots of paperwork and history. Then I have my first prenatal checkup which is booked for a few days after that..

Hey darling, I have put full details of mine in my journal if you want to hear the calamity that was my first appointment! But, as a round up....

- estimated date of delivery
- wee sample (the hardest thing to do ever!)
- blood pressure
- Blood test
- weight
- height

You get a form to get free treatment - dental and prescriptions, etc. A bounty pack, your pregnancy notes, etc etc.

Good luck xx

Hello poppet

Because your cycles are long, I wouldnt be surprised if they maybe got you booked in for a dating scan earlier rather than later xxx

I have my first appt on Dec 14th. I know there's bloodwork and a scan involved and I'm sure I'll be told I'm obese blah blah blah and then I'll get mad and then be soothed by baby on the screen.

That might depend on your area though, my cycles were anywhere between 40 and 55 days apart but they wouldn't give me an early dating scan. They just went off my LMP for EDD even though I kept telling them it was wrong.

My first appointment they used a little wheel thing to give me an EDD based on my last period, gave me the form for my maternity exemption certificate and gave me a number and password to call up and book my scan/booking appointment at the hospital xxx

Hi ya congratulations on your BFP.
My doctors appointment was a waste of time really.
All he done was gave me a estimated due date ( which i already knew)
told me the things i should not be eating ( already knew)
and filled in a form to forward to the midwife and said she will be in touch within 3-4 weeks.
i had a lettter from my midwife within a week of going to the dotors my first appointment with her is 28th december which will be collecting all the info blood samples pee samples and for me to ask any questions.
and im hoping my scan will follow shortly after that
xxx
