Swine Flu jab - anyone getting it??

Hey there,
My doctor wrote to me yesterday to offer me to come and have the swine flu jab. I'm 11 weeks. I wondered if anyone else was considering it?
Has anyone already had it, or totally ruled it out - whether completely or just in the first trimester.

Interested to hear everyone's opinion!
xxx

I will be having it after first tri (you can't have it in first tri in Holland).

I had been invited to have it anyway (before I got pregnant) as I get the flu fairly often and always seem to get quite sick with it. However I think everyone needs to make their own decision.

Im getting it done at 12 weeks. I got my invite letter at 8/9 weeks and I was told by my midwife and my GP that it doesn't matter how many weeks you are when you get it, but I decided to wait a few more weeks just for my own piece of mind.

i had it a few days ago... the nurse reassured me that its completely fine to have it when pregnant and that the swine flu epidemic is going to get worse before it gets any better especially with winter coming in.

2 people who i work with have got swine flu at the moment aswell and with all the horror stories about pregnant women with swine flu im not taking the risk really x

I got the unadjuvanted version when it was available. This is my first time getting flu shots but I suffer from a comprimised immune system and felt that in this situation I was better off getting it.

im normally dead against vaccines...especially this one. not for any particular reason, (dont want to worry you all!!) i just dont get along with them very well as a general rule. I havent been asked by my docs yet, and i havent yet met my midwife so i will see what they say - but its a categorical no from me. xox

I got the unadjuvanted vaccine about 3 weeks ago, it was such a relief to have it done after hearing so many pregnant women who were in intensive care in hospitals with swine flu. I didn't want to take the risk. My doctors said it's not much different than getting a regular flu shot. I didn't want to put myself or baby at risk.
