Have been googling I think it could also possibily be a haematoma or a cyst? Someone in the twin and multiples section thought she could see a fetal pole, but I def cant, but am not to good at interpreting scans.

Who knows??? I really want to speak to the midwife!

There is one baby! The shadow is a subchorionic hematoma, and the pregnancy is otherwise fine.

The baby is on track at 7+4 and I had a listen to the heart beat! Horray for the EPU!!! XX

Crypto!! YAY! glad to hear you finally got an answer! I also have a subchorionic hematoma. The regular US tech didn't find it, but at my RE appointment Monday he did when I told him about my spotting. Mine is causing me to bleed a bit though because it is low down near the cervix. I hope it stops soon though because it is REALLY freaking me out to see pink/red all the time!! ugh!!!

That must be very scary! I suppose if it doesnt affect your squishies then thats a good thing. Certainly they didnt seem too worried about it at the hospital.

For now mine is stable, but they are going to look at it again at 12 weeks.

I feel delighted to have answers. It was really good to hear and then see the heart monitor. It was so much bigger than last week!
