1st Scan today 12wks 3 days - Can't Stop Crying

We went for our first scan today and the sonographer couldn't get a decent scan using the picture so she said she wanted to do an internal one.

After a bit of looking around she told us that she could see signs that our baby died at around 6 weeks She got someone to come and give a second opinion and they agreed.

We were then trapsed halfway accross the hospital through the outpatients department with me crying my eyes out to speak to a senior nurse who explained what happens now - am going to have an operation over the next couple of weeks.

Am absolutely devastated. I had managed to convince myself that because I'd been suffering with morning sickness over the past few weeks that it meant our bean was really strong and now all I keep thinking is how I've been feeling miserable and ill for absolutely no reason

I realise now just how much we wanted this baby - I keep bursting into tears whenever I think about it

I am so so sorry for your loss. I know just how you feel as have come out from 2 early scans now in floods of tears, yet they're still dragging me back this thurs for a 3rd before they will finally confirm everything's over, even though we know there's no hope for our little bean. I wish you a speedy and complication free recovery. xxx
