For those of you who are keeping ur pregnancy a secret- i was wondering what ur doing when expected to drink? I had a right laugh with it the other day!

I went out with a friend (who knows im preg), her mum, & my mum (who dont know)- it was for all our birthdays, so i couldnt do the usual "nah, i just dont fancy it" or "its my turn to drive" The whole point of our night out was to get merry!

A couple of times, i managed to get the mums to find a seat, while we bought 1 actual vodka & orange & 1 fake vodka & orange & asked for them to be in the same style glasses (not a tall glass like u usually get with non-alcoholic drinks)! But at the 3rd pub, my Mum insisted on bringing the drinks to the table. hmmm. So my friend asked for just orange whilst i ordered a vodka & orange. Her excuse was that she's still breast feeding, n didnt wanna get 2 drunk (in fact, baby hardly has any breast milk now as she is weaning!) n then we swapped drinks when my mum wasnt looking!!

But all this effort might be in vain anyway: Hubby's mum has heard that i fainted at work & asked if she needs to start knitting! She works at the hospital i visited when i fainted... n she only needs to type my name into the computer to find out exactly y i fainted! I know that because of data protection, she cant discuss what she finds with any1... but it doesnt forbid her from looking!!!!

Good story Kate! I think I'll rope in a friend to help me pretend to drink at the Christmas party in a few weeks time... I hope it works!
