5 weeks - empty sac?

i'm so worried.

i got dated last week on thursday as 5 weeks. but there was NOTHING in the sac.

i read in magazines and tickers that the hearts starting to beat and bits of baby are growing.

can it be normal to have an empty sac at this stage and baby develop normaly?

the midwife didn't seem to be worried in any way and said congrats etc.

any help appreciated : )

hey! i went for an early scan today and saw a yolk sac inside the gestational sac but no heartbeat.. you would be very lucky to see a heartbeat at 5 weeks some women dont even see a heartbeat at 6 weeks!

as for the yolk sac.. maybe its just slowly progressing? hope everything goes okay for you hun.. have they given you a date for another scan? x

I think this is normal. I had a scan at 5 weeks last week and all we could see was the sac, no yolk or hb.

I am having another scan tomorrow. I will let you know what I see. XXX

maybe you implanted later than the norm... it is totally possible it is just too early to see.. or perhaps your uterus is tilted that happened to my sister they did not see anything with her till 7weeks give or take a day..

are they going to do another scan? with my sister they waited 10 days and did it again

At 5 weeks dead on, I only had a gestational sac. No sign of a yolk sac, no sign of a fetal pole

7 weeks + 1 day...sproglet was there with a thumping heartbeat so try not to worry by what you read online and in magazines.
