nothing to worry about. At 5+5 I could see a tiny yolk sac, really tiny, and could have easily missed it. It doesn't mean it's not there developing nicely, just that it's too small to see it yet. The pic in my avatar is at 7+5 - at this stage the baby grows so quickly, even a few days can make a huge difference x

I suggest you go to another obs office for a scan in at least two weeks time if you can't get the doctor to budge on giving you one..Or as shady as it sounds lie..call up and say your having pain and your really worried and you want a scan...I know its shady but if you can't get him to budge any other way its an option.. btw love the snake bites and the blue hair <3 hot mama. My mother in law begged me to take mine out when I got pregnant so alas no more piercings for me to appease the wicked witch

Hi

I had scan on friday and should have been 12 weeks but they only saw sac and yolk and reckoned it looked about 5 weeks and was perfectly valid if I was only 5 weeks.

As everything looked normal for a 5 week prenancy they wanted to scan again this friday to check for feotal pole as they said they can see a lot of change in a week.

I know my dates are right and got BFP on 26th Sept so there as no way I was only 5 weeks. I knew my bean had never developed properly and managed to get D&C booked and completed yesterday so I'm on the road to recovery.

From what they said to me I would say this is perfectly normal for 5 weeks, see if they will scan again in a week or so for you. If you are really worried tell them you have cramps or something. When I called yesterday morning to say I had been bleeding over the weekend (which I had) they booked me in straight away for another scan 2 hours later.

Best of luck to you sweetie x
