Cramps

I'm having cramps low down which I know are normal, they aren't sore or sharp.. just aware of them. I get them on both sides but mostly on the right side and into my hip. It doesn't feel sore or tender, just a bit achy. Is this normal?? No bleeding or spotting either. I've heard some people saying that it can be because the egg was released from that ovary???

Got the docs tomorrow so will ask her, was just wondering if any of you have the same?

Hey - I'd be interested to hear what you doc says about this - I am experiencing the same and have been pretty much since I ovulated. I am not sure if I need to be concerned or not?

Hi hun, I had cramps from day one all over and on my left (right where my ovary is)...and it was the ovary I 'released' from as the small cyst I have on that side was the cause of the pain I was having.

Hope it's not too uncomfortable, I found a hot water bottle helped.

I'm having cramps too - similar to af but much, much milder, no bleeding, still got positive test, temps still high. I'm worrying, just want to know if it's normal? I'm 13dpo....

I still get niggly feelings on my left side, been less aware of them recently due to pain with constipation!

But im sure it's just everything settling in for the next 9 months! x

hey there

if it helps, i had cramps - like period pain - from about week 3 to about week 8. most days and worse for some reason at night.

i was told by the nurse that as long as there is no bleeding and as long as the pain is not painful (and remained just a dull ache) then it is likely to be my body adjusting / uterus stretching.

by week 8 /9 the cramps disappeared and we are now at week 11 and no pain

so i think that this is normal

but if you are worried, always check with your nurse / midwife / gp - its important to make sure your mind is at ease

hope that helps

Actually, I asked the doc when I went if the pain I feel on the left is ok. She said it was the ovary that had released the egg so not to worry...
