for the "pesimists" of the forum...

i think ive spelt that right....
i cant be the only one whos not overly optomistic.
i have a scan next week and im convinced it will be bad news for me... not sure why but i just cant seem to get excited at the thought that im pregnant again...

I know some people are naturally more optimistic than others. A friend of mine can not help but to think the worst about everything. I don't think anyone can tell you to be more positive if its not what you are like.

I tend to be very optimistic with the occassional negative feeling creeping in there. I just feel like life is too short to think the worst so try and block those pessamistic feelings out.

I think it is natural to worry in pregnancy though so don't beat yourself up if you are worrying! But remember that if you are feeling overly worried then you might make yourself poorly! And that wuld be no good for bubs! I'm sure once you see your bubs at the scan you will feel far more positive!

Lots of love x x x

I wouldn't say I was a pessimistic, but I have wanted this for so long, I can't believe it happened so easily for me and I am so afraid something will go wrong. Every twinge and ache I feel makes me worry. Thank goodness for the girls on this forum, they are always here to reassure.

Proudmum, when I was 6 weeks I don't think it had sunk in that I am pregnant, I kept having to remind myself. I think it's only over the last week or so it has felt real for me.

I am right there with you. I thought beig pregnant was suppose to be a joyous occasion but so far mine has been worry after worry. I am almost afraid to be happy in fear that something bad will happen again.

I am an optimist but reading these forums made me worry a hell of a lot, especially as I don't get morning sickness etc. Although these boards are fantastic, you get to read the bad stuff as well as the good and these are the things that stick in your head. I have found that I only come on here about twice a week and it's helping me not get too wrapped up in it all. You lot are all lovely though! x

Ps (The weeks pass quicker too this way)

Im scared to be happy too... to the extent where im almost ignoring being pregnant. i forget about it sometimes and i have my family having to remind me, "you are pregnant, dont lift anything heavy"... my reply "oh yea, well it will probably end bad anyway" !!!! why must it be this way!

For me it's not so much that I'm pessimistic as I just can't BELIEVE it! And because of that, I'm expecting the pregnancy to just vanish into thin air for no apparent reason. I haven't taken a pregnancy test in 2 days and all I can think about is buying some on the way home from work today just to make sure I still am!
