any1 take benadryl when pregnant? i have a problem where i need to take them or take steroids if it doesnt work. im so scared ill hurt the baby

I had an allergic reaction to a bee sting and was prescribed benadryl. I was told by both dr and pharmacist that it was perfectly fine to take. Although I limited it to only 2.

It is safe. Our anti-MS pill in Canada consists of a benadryl-like drug + B6.

Sunshine, where in the world do you live? Benadryl contains a different active ingredient in different countries, in the US & Canada I think it's considered safe to take, but here in the UK it's not recommended. I took one a few weeks ago and on seeing the doctor the next day he told me not to take it again. The active ingredient here is cetirizine hydrochloride.
