Temps have gone down - i'm a nervous wreck

Hiya

Taking my temp was the only reassuring thing I had.... I know you shouldn't but today was the last day really that I could start AF - given my last three cycles.

Anyway, I temped this morning and its gone below the coverline (

I've done another HPT and its the clearest positive...

I don't know what to think - some say you should have a high temp for at least 18 days - I've had it for 14/15?

I was all ready to go see the doctor this morning to get the ball rolling and then this.

I'm not having much in the way of cramping, just anxiety attacks...

Heard the the temperature would remain high during the whole pregnancy. Some people would experience a dip during implantation, but if you already got a BFP, then you should have already had the implantation.

Sorry that I couldn't be of more help... but read that temperature drop is not a good sign. Hopefully you did a mistake, and took the BBT incorrectly.

Thanks I wish I hadn't took my temp now - There is not much out there after googling it to suggest anything?? I was off to Doctors today anyway to announce it so I guess I will ask him and see what he thinks...

But its looking more likely that this pregnancy will not last.... I'm feeling very very deflated..

Stop temping you will worry yourself silly! Hormones in early pregnancy can cause your temps to fluctuate, it will go back up in the morning Im sure! If it was going to be a chemical it wouldnt have stayed dark, they are light and eventually disappear! Ive just googled and found quite a few threads on numerous other sites where its happened to other women and they have panicked too, nothing happened, they continued on being pregnant. Get to the doc and get your hcg checked and put your mind at ease.

I know it is hard, but try not to worry to much. Probably tomorrow you will see your temperature high again. And sometime external agents can also influence on the temperature. Few days ago, it has been very cold around here. I used to wake up with my head cold, and with a lower temperature reading. My temperature are usually lower also if I woke up and drank water few hours before the reading. Temperature should also be read as a trend, and not as individual value.

If you don't have any other signs, like bleeding or cramping, it is possible that everything would turn fine. Good luck, hun

Ignore it sweetie! I stopped temping because I knew that I would panic myself. Maybe your thermometer is faulty Honestly, you just have to step away from the thermometer and the HPTs and be patient. I know it's impossible but you will worry yourself sick otherwise.

Thanks girls - I know I'm being silly - my preg test this morning was a very clear line so I am happy with that...

I don't have any cramping or pain, just very wobbly legs - I am tying myself up in nervous knots and feel sick with nerves - can we take anything for anxiety when you are pregnant...??

I am stepping away from the thermometer...

x

as the others said, don't focus on your temps too much. i stopped taking mine this month after ovulation (well, i didn't even think i'd ovulated) because i was going on holiday & i've not temped when i got back either, & it's such a weight off my mind
good luck! i saw my doctor at 4+1 as well!
xx

I chart as well and I thought I hadn't ov'd that month as temps were erratic and then it dropped below coverline so I stopped charting and waited for AF. It never came. So, if you went by the law of charting I should not be pregnant because my temp dropped at the time AF was due.... I really wouldn't worry about it at all.
