Unhappy

worried

I dont know if any one could help, but found out i was pregnant on 11th November. i as having dull cramping pain, almost like soft period pains so went to the doctors and had a scan. the MW couldn't see anything, but said there was some fluid in my pelvis. which may just be a small infection. I am not sure how far gone I am, but worked it out, i would be about 4weeks and 6 days. i had two blood tests and they came back 1st HCG level 1000 2nd 1999.

should i be worried as to why there was fluid there? and why could we see anything on the scan...is it too early. and are my HCG levels normal. so worried

hey, cramping is very normal in early pregnancy... could be implantation pains or just general stretching and getting ready for pregnancy pains. i had them im 5 weeks 4 days today and they have eased off over the past week or so x

they dont normally see anything in your womb before 5 weeks. your hcg has doubled so thats a good sign too where the bloods taken 2 days apart

I still get mild period like cramping, so try not to worry too much about that.

As for not seeing anything..it could have just been too early yet.

thank you all for your speedy reply. the bloods were taken 2 days apart.

last night the pain was a little worse, on one side. and has still been there today. off and on, but now and again quite painful. has any one experienced this and still had a healthy pregnancy...or should i prepare for the worst? x

Hey Jesse

I've been scanned twice due to pain on one side and also cramping pains.

Both times baby has been fine and I've seen heartbeat. I'm 8+3 was first scanned at 7 +1 and then 8 wks, but they reassure me all is well.

Was told the pain on one side is due to cyst on ovary which egg came from? and hormones normally get rid of it by dating scan at 12 weeks.
