Even water can be problematic at certain times of the day. The only meal that seems to be working is Jacket Potatoes with beans. The constant sickness is just miserable and I wondered how everyone else is tackling their MS? I have a scan next tues and hoping to see my doctor at the same time, but until then…what can I do? I’ve so far tried ginger in all of its forms, eating small amount regularly, drinking lots of water and so on. |

It's so horrid I really want to be excited right now but it's difficult when I feel tired and sick all day!! I am 10 weeks and have been suffering since week 6. I heard that having a little bit of cordial in water is easier on your tummy if you live in a hard water area as water just goes straight through you (or comes back up) and also the cordial will help keep your sugar levels up. Don't feel guilty about what you can and can't eat if jacket potatoes work for you then live on them if you must!! xxxxx |

I also love ice cream, basically anything really cold that doesn't have too strong a flavour can be helpful. td1309's suggestion of cordial is a good one. I also struggle with water (especially if it's not fresh out of the tap) and fruit juice is sometimes too strong for me to stomach, so squash is an easier alternative for me. It may seem boring to have jacket spud and beans every day, but if that's all you can tolerate then don't feel guilty about having it, it's actually pretty healthy too. I'm sure my hubby must be sick of sausages, mash and gravy almost every day, but it works well for me. |
