Anyone else have pressure in their abdomen?

For the last few days, I've had this incredible tightness/pressure in my lower abdomen. It feels tender inside, but not to the touch, as though someone has kicked me hard from inside. I wouldn't describe it as painful, but it is uncomfortable.

I am a very slender build with quite strong abdominal muscles. Could this explain the feeling I'm having?

I was reading about this last night since I'm feeling the same thing and I'm not a slender gal by any means. BUT this is completely normal and is actually the stretching of our abdominal muscles. Sometimes the pains can be sharp or can be a dull ache and can even be one sided (depending where bean is!) I read about it on WhatToExpect.com which is another haunt and created by the author of the book "What to expect when you're expecting" great site chock full of info.

I did a quick search on the forum earlier and couldn't find anything that matched my description, good to know I'm not the only one and that it's normal.

I've got that book BTW, I'll have a rummage through it and see if it's mentioned in there somewhere. I've only been reading up to the week I'm currently at.

I have been having this too- I'm not particularly slim, and have already put on about five pounds in this pregnancy. My dr said it was just abdominal stretching and nothing to worry about at all

oh my god i'm so glad to see this post i've been having the same thing. i've been calling it cramping but your discription is way more accurate. i'm happy to see i'm not alone.

Funnily enough, it seems to have eased off today, typical lol.

nada, I've often wondered if it's what people refer to as cramps, but it just doesn't feel anything like that to me. I haven't really had any obvious kind of cramping at all, nearest thing was a gentle, slow squeezing sensation a few weeks ago. Nothing like I got around AF time though.

I have had this for weeks. All your ligaments are softening as well as your uterus stretching so there's alot going on in there! For about a week I felt like I'd pulled a muscle every time I got up quickly or sneezed!! Now I just feel slightly uncomfortable all the time and being bloated doesn't help!! My waistbands really annoy me and I have even taken to sleeping without even my knickers on (very unlike me!). I'm 10 weeks. Can't wait till all this bloat is replaced with bump!

I must say I've noticed the waistband of my knickers is irritating me too lol. Doesn't hurt or anything, but I just can't stand the feel of anything leaning against that area.
