I'm Currently Feeling: | From ecstatic to terrified...spotting at 5w2days..waiting game... Hi all,
I last posted on here two weeks ago after getting my bfp early with a v early tester...
I posted how nervous I was cos I'd had a miscarriage at nine weeks four years ago...
Anyway, everything was going fine. Then two days ago I started getting tiny tiny spots of brown stuff in my knickers. It kind of went away after that. But hours later it returned and was darker brown and slightly heavier.
It then disappeared again before returning last night...red.
This morning we went to A and E and had an emergency scan. They could just about see a 6mm sac but couldn't tell what was in it. They;ve told me to come back in a week.
I am so upset as alreayd lost one baby and so thought this was going to be the one. The doc gave me progesterone suppositories I have to take vaginally - do you think this is a good sign that he sees it worth fighting for?
I've got to have my blood hcg levels done Monday (in four days time) and it's an agonising, horrible wait. Has anyone got any positive stories about going through spotting and it being OK? What about progesterone? Does it work wonders?!
The spotting's calmed now although I have been lying flat. I just want this baby so bad and waited four years before trying again as I was so scared...and now it's probably happening again.
Any advice would be great. And hope all your pregnancies are going well

I'm Currently Feeling: | progesteron is a hormon that helps the embrio to stick,to start developing in the uterus...That's why your doctor proscribed it to you.So I would definitely say that there is hope...
The waiting game is the worst, but just hold on for one week!

I'm Currently Feeling: | I started slightly bleeding at 6 weeks and 5 day and had an internal scan at 7 weeks and one day and everything was fine and the baby's heart was beating. It was the longest 3 days of my life! Never been so relieved to see my baby on the screen. They said they probably would never find out why i bled, but like my midwife said it isn't normal to bleed, but is very common!
Hope if all goes well when you next have a scan.

I'm Currently Feeling: | Thanks for the replies ladies, seriously it helps so much when people advise.
The Hug: what was your bleeding like, if you don't mind me asking?! Was it light/ heavy/ did you still 'feel' pregnant?
I am now paranoid as my boobs don't seem to be as agonising as they first were, but who knows maybe this is just my paranoia at the moment...
I keep checking myself obsessively and it's still only very light brown when I wipe really...although there was red last night.
Oh God hope this works out. I really am praying for this little bean to stick. He/ she is so, so wanted...x | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | It was pale pink and never stained my underwear. It was only ever present when i wiped. I also didn't have any pregnancy symptoms while it was happening, but they came back with a vengeance that weekend!
I know its easier said than done, but try not to worry.

I'm Currently Feeling: | I have had some pretty heavy red bleeding. I went to the dr. yesterday, and she said that it was my cervix bleeding, and not the uterus. She said that pg women have so much more blood flow, and the hormones make everything more sensitive. I still don't know if I believe that everything is alright either, but I hope that is what may be causing your bleeding. Good luck and know that we are here for you if you just need to vent.

I'm Currently Feeling: | Thanks so much everyone. It's so hard not thinking the worst, but hearing stories like The Hug's that symptoms can come and go also are really helping me through.
I am just hoping this progesterone is helping the little bean! I am really trying everything I can to give it a fighting chance. I'm just so scared my hcg will be low at the test... I guess I can just wait.
The Hug: did they try your hcg too when you were spotting? Or was the second scan enough to confirm all was well?
Sorry to keep harping on, but any positive stuff is really helping right now xx Good luck to all your little ones!X | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | They did take a urine sample to begin with to check if i had a urine infection (which i didn't) and to see if i was still showing as pregnant, which i was. I never had my hcg tested only a scan. The baby was the right size for the dates so it put my mind at ease just to see its heart beating away and moving about.
Take care of yourself and i hope it all turns out ok
