| eczema- any natural safe remedies? Since I became pregnant the eczema on my left hand has exploded. I normally use steriod cream but obviously want to avoid this.
Has anyone any ideas for relief? I am up about 4 times a night with it. XXX | | | | Status: Offline

| I have eczema too and when I was at my doctor's appointment yesterday I asked about the hydrocortisone creams that I have. She said if would be better if I didn't use them but if I absolutely had to, to use it VERY sparingly!! I asked what to do instead and she suggested just lots of moisturizers!! As far as natural remedies, a girl I work with said that Emu Oil worked to clear up her daughter's eczema but it didn't really work for me......might be worth a shot though?!?! | | | | Status: Offline

| I've been using natural products for a couple of years to try and combat my problem skin. I don't have regular eczema, but hubby gets it on his elbows and he's found that pure hemp seed oil does wonders for it.
If your eczema is not particularly itchy, you could also use pure shea butter as an intensive moisturiser, but make sure you get the unrefined stuff as the shea used in most off-the-shelf products has had all the goodness stripped out. | | | | Status: Offline

| Hey hun, I'd say aloe vera, rosa de mosqueta oil or almond oil, as they are supposed to be deep moisturisers... I'm going to use the oil for my stretchmarks when they start growing... | | | | Status: Offline

| I use an oatmeal based moisturizer every day like- Aveeno. It's the only thing that works for me. Hope you find some relief.

| I use Witch Hazel gel... It stops the itching and takes down the redness very quickly. Can also be used in 'delicate' areas.

| Aveeno makes great lotions and bath powder that is supposed to help eczema. I am not sure mine was that but I was horrifyingly itchy through the whole pregnancy with my son and would dump 2 or 3 packs of the Aveeno powder in my bath every night. It was so soothing. | | | | Status: Online

| I really appreciate all of these suugestions and am going to start working my way through them
The steriod I was using is very strong and there is a risk of cleft palate with it, so I naturally stopped that. I have a milder one that DR said I could use sparingly, however its useless.
I have been using Sudo Cream (for babies bottoms) which gives temp relief and moisture, but nothing is clearing it up and the itch is excruciating.
Thanks ever so much for your suggestions. XXX | | | | Status: Offline
