I can't handle the wait!!!!

I got my first scan appointment through today, but it's not until 21st Dec!! That's like 5 weeks away

( I just want to know that everything's ok! I almost want to be able to forget that i'm pregnant for the next few weeks to make it easier! I've got no reason to think that anything's wrong, but it's just the worrying about all the 'what if's'.

Sorry, pretty pointless post but i just needed a bit of a rant!

me neither but im quite lucky im getting an early scan on monday as i had fertility treatment. i suppose the only think you could do is pay for a private scan if you cant wait till then, i think they are quite reasonable in price.

I haven't even been referred to my midwife yet, and im 12 weeks on xmas eve! So I bet I don't get a scan before then

ooo me too! I am waiting for my letter to come through, they say it will be about 10 weeks i get mine, but if its any later it will be after Xmas now booo! x

I got my scan date yesturday for Dec 18th! Thats 4 weeks tomorrow! its gonna be the longest 4 weeks ever!

You are definately aloud a rant of this kind. hehe. I feel exactly the same but i don't have my 1st midwife appointment till 9th Dec and that seems to be taking ages to get here aswell. And then i'll have to wait till my scan.... God i hate this wait!!!!!!! lol. xxx

Ive not even had any correspondance yet for dates on MW or scan appointments so I dont hold up much hope for anything before the new year. At my Dr appointment the DR said she was sure scans werent being done until 14 wks so long wait ill have

Hope my wee bean is growing well, just cant wait to see him/her...

Hey hun, as soon as I found out I was pg, I called for an appt and was given the 14th Dec!!! I couldn't wait so long, plus I didn't expect to be pg so hadn't even done my yearly exams or anything, so I decided to go private just this once. I went two days after my digi told me pg and she said everything was ok. It was expensive because she took the chance to do my exams too, just to be sure everything is ok down there, but it was worth it!! See if you can afford it, it does give you relief. Otherwise, good luck with the wait!!!

I have my 21 week scan on the same day, so I know how big a countdown it seems, but it does come around fast, so it will be here before you know it. I got myself into a state before my 12 week scan, but nothing was wrong. So many women have the same experience, so you should try not to worry because the odds are in your favour. Good luck hon; and before long you will see your sweet little baby on that screen.
