A few people have very kindly PM's me about my scan yesterday - I did post but because of the eejits who tried to bugger things up for us, the post obv disappeared.

So, the scan went well. The bean is 12mm crown to rump and they moved my date forward by a day - EDD is now 17/10/08 so I'm 7wk + 4 today.

The found a small bleed in my uterus which may have been the reason I'd had some pain a few weeks ago. They said not to worry - I may lose the blood or it might be reabsorbed into my system. At least if I have a little bleeding I'll know what it is.

The also found a small cyst on my right ovary which may have been causing the throbbing sensation I posted about recently - again nothing to worry about as its really tiny and may even be from where the egg burst and it's just not quite healed.

Finally, I saw the heartbeat - I feel over the moon and very blessed.

That's excellent news! I'm so pleased for you. I'm all chocked (?) up myself now! It's the most exciting feeling in the world isn't it! Now we can look forward to 12 week scans!

Well....so I thought but no 12 weeks scan now as they dated it yesterday so you dont get another once they have given you an EDD!!!
20 weeks now for me!!! I'm gonna have the nuchal scan though so I suppose I'll get another look then.

lies! i have had 2scans and im 16 weeks, i got my 20 week scan coming up, just complain about pains to your gp and he will book you in for your 12 week! lol naughty but it works. x x x x
i didnt lie by the way i was in alot of pain x but i was so relieved when they offered me a scan

I'll keep that in mind!

Ahh, really pleased all is well with your LO

I remember seeing the hb at 6 wks and it was the most amazing thing i had ever seen.

I thought the pain on one side was the pocket from which your egg was released as i think i may have mentioned to you in one of your previous posts. I had the same thing, hence the early scan.
