Fed up of waiting

Hi everyone, just a rant and a bit of concern too

Im 11 weeks today, I just had a letter thro from my local hospice confirming my date for the scan- 31st March!!!

I rang them up and explained that i will be 15weeks when i have my 1st scan and asked for an earlier appointment. Apparently, as theres alot of pregnancies at this time, I was told having the 1st scan at 15weeks is the norm!? The lady said if i ring up next week and see if i can get a cancellation...this is not garanteed. I will just have to ring and see.

Im annoyed to the fact that as im midwife led, I have to wait that much longer, at the rate im going, I wont be able to keep my bump hidden much longer than i have to.

My concern is that If my 1st scan is not til 15weeks, when will my 2nd scan be?? surely all my scans will then be staggered cos of the wait, and then risking the fact of detecting things early with the baby?

I was contemplating on going to a private practice like Bupa or something and saw on website it costs around £100 for a bog standard scan.

Im ever so jelous of everyone having their scans at 12wks and even earlier

I'd try a different hospital maybe?

I've got a dating scan at 12 weeks and the first scan (where you hear baby's heartbeat etc) at 15 weeks..

Hope you do get in sooner,

Yeah, it sucks, sucks, sucks! Lucky me....NO!

How will I ever make it to April 15th? Roll on to April....FAST!

As I mentioned in other threads, after that time I am going in for a private 4d scan....one in May and one in June or July.
