Confusion with dates and implantation bleeding?

I went for a scan today, under the impression i was 6+2, however on the scan there was no yolk, or sac and the nurse was certain that it was too early in my pregnancy for them to appear and for me to come back in 10 days. However i took 3 pregnancy tests over 2 weeks ago and it was positive, therefore.. how the hell am i having implantation bleeding now when the hcg hormones dont go into your system untill after implantation? and i would have had to have conceived the baby about 3/2 days before i took my test if thats right? It just doesnt make any sense. Had this happened to anyone else? I'm so confused and the nurse didnt really clarify anything, and now i have to wait untill friday to do another bloods and compare the hcg

Well I cant answer anything on a medical front hun but I got a positive on the Sat am and then didnt see any implantation bleeding until the Sunday night!x

I think you will have to know more about your cycle in order to figure this out. If I just base it off of you getting pg tests being + two weeks ago and you were due for AF when you took them, then you would only be about 4wks right now and not 6wks.

What is your normal cycle like? number of days, and when do you normally ovulate. I always caluclate my dates from ovulation because I usually O on day 16. this time, I am positive I O'd on day 14, which was almost 4wks ago now, making me nearly 6wks now. Does this make sense?

My normal cycle lasts for 28 days and has done since i started. And i have no idea when i ovulate what so ever, and i wouldn't know what to look for when i ovulate. I was under the impression that you counted from the day of your last period, making me 6 weeks. :S

Were you due for AF when you got your + or were you two weeks late? You say you got your + on 10/26 which is why I ask. I have normal 28 day cycles too and I got my + a week before you (and I got my + 3 days BEFORE the witch was due) which in general terms, would mean you are a week behind me (UNLESS you were already 2 weeks late when you got your +)...that is what I am trying to figure out.

I got my + on the exact date that my AF was due. My last period was 28/9/09. I understand what you mean, but i've used about 5 different pregnancy calculators and they've all said the same thing.

According to the one above i should have seen a heartbeat today and instead all i saw was a gestational sac.

They said that i was a month when i got my + which i just assumed was how pregnancy was measured, so what your actually saying is when i got my + i was only 2 weeks, making me 4+2 now instead of 6+2? God this pregnancy business is so confusing lol.

You are right...if you were DUE for AF when you got your +, then you were 4wks at your AF due date IF you ovulated at the normal time, which you most likely did based on your dates.

I was also wrong on my post before...I got my + the same day as you, not the week before (and my last AF was 3/10/09)...so I really think you are a few days ahead of me meaning you should be 6+2 today. With Ovulation, you really probably can't be more than a few days off in either direction, so hopefully the next scan will show a heartbeat!! If you did ovulate a few days late, it is possible it was just a tad too early.
