Is having a High Temp Dangerous ????

I suddenly got a really bad cold about 5 hours ago, and obviously can't take anything for it grrrr
I'm just a bit worried about the fact that my temp is up quite high, and I know they say not to use saunas and hot tubs, because they can raise your body temperature.
.... and once again, I refuse to Google, coz I end up panicking

I don't mean to worry you but yes it can be dangerous. You should consult your doctor immediately. I think you can take paracetmol during pregnancy (from what I've heard it's a lot like tylenol that I use here). I would ask them about taking it to bring your fever down. Hope you feel better soon

What is your temperature just now?
I would definately take some paracetamol just now to bring your fever down.
If you've got a fan use that too. x

I had a bad flu when I was pg, both a doctor and my midwife said it's fine as long as it isn't extremely high. They told me to take paracetamol if I needed.

They both told me not to worry I was panicking though because I had a fever for 5 days at least and I felt really really sick.

That's quite high. Obviously because you have a cold, it is an infection and that will cause your temperature to rise, the main thing is to try and keep the temperature down, by taking paracetamol as instructed on the packet and keeping yourself cool. If your temperature keeps going up or doesn't come down, I would get in touch with your doctor.

That was sweet of him. It's crap when you've got the cold or flu when pregnant but good when your OH fusses over you.
Hope you feel better soon. x
