I'm Currently Feeling: | When did you first see your midwife? I went to my Dr on friday as I wanted to see her about something completely different than Pregnancy but found I was pregnant that day so told her. She told me that I should take a test in 2 weeks then call in and book an appointment with a midwife? Does this sound right because I was quite excited and I was not sure If i was to book it for that week or for another 2 months time? sorry for the dumb questions | | | | Status: Online

| Hi, i went to see my midwife at 6 weeks-the same week i had my pregnancy confirmed. But this was because i suffer with high bp and on meds for it, the gp and midwife are keen on seeing me regularly to keep a check on things. Ive seen her twice now (almost 11 weeks gone now).
Im not sure when the usual time is to see a midwifw to be honest though.
Congrats by the way!

I'm Currently Feeling: | I'm in Canada and went to my GP for the first ten weeks, my OB at 13 weeks. They really can't do much this early on in pregnancy. At my first appointment (I was 4.5 weeks along) she did some paperwork on me and sent me for blood work to confirm the pregnancy (but not every place does this). I went back at 10 weeks for a physical and she referred me to my OB. Now I go in once a month to see my OB. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | its nomally between 8+12 weeks depending on your situation and health, if you really worried about anything though push too see a midwife at your doctors or brook advisery clinics generally have a midwife depending if you young enough to go there (13-24 i think) |

I'm Currently Feeling: | My first appointment is at 7 weeks + 2. I think they just like you to get thought a few weeks first but you can see your Dr in the meantime with any worries - I've seen mine a couple of times and I've found it reassuring. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I am in Canada as well. As soon as I found out I was pregnant, I had an appointment with my doctor. I go every 4 weeks to my normal doctor until the beginning of my third trimester when I start seeing my gynecologist. |
