What the heck is wrong with sick people!?

I just drove 1 hour to my French conversation class and had to leave after 5 minutes because the guy sitting beside me was hacking up a lung - he had his face covered with his sweater and was sweating, dizzy, and couldn't stop coughing. We didn't have a test or anything, he didn't have to be there!?

Ugh. And he laughs about how he probably has H1N1? Coughing in my face when he KNOWS I'm pregnant?

So he acts all offended when I grab my books and walk out the door...

I think I would have slapped him tbh, he deserves it by the sounds of it......Some people refuse to stay at home when they are sick, especially when they are really sick. Then you get others who refuse to get out of bed and all they have is a little sniffle lol, just cant win.......Sounds like you did the right thing though walking out.......

that is disgusting. We were told on the first day back at uni that if we even suspect we have flu, not to bother coming in.

How dare people, knowing they could possibly be carrying a virus that is known to be of higher risk to pregnant women, cough at you and joke about it...?

I would have left too, but why SHOULD you have to leave?? very angry when people are so selfish like that.

That awful! I work in a hospital, and yesterday got in an elevator with someone coughing everywhere. I went up five floors holding my breath. The guy was a little unusual, and asked me for a high five as he got off, which I refused by shaking my head (still holding my breath)

I relate to the frustration. I have been surrounded by sick people who seem to exhibit little consideration for others. They think I am "paranoid" because I suggest they should not be working when they are coughing and sputtering among the public.

I work with adults with disabilities as a job. Its very hard to make sure everyone practices proper hygiene by washing their hands regularly, covering their mouth etc. I can put up with that...and have to...even though its scary...

But I really dont understand perfectly able adults who cant have the curtosy to cover their mouth and turn away if they have to cough, and if they are REALLY bad...staying HOME until they feel better!

Grrr, how selfish and disgusting! I am sick of having to avoid people without the decency to cover their mouths and wash their hands. I mean, how the hell were they dragged up?! We are trying to avoid a flu pandemic and it's selfish assholes like that which think they are so funny by spreading it. I might start slapping people too
