I've no clue when it is said to be best to take it. But I am thinking in the first trimester the embryo is more sensitive but then the placenta isnt working but the yolk sac. Its hard to know:/

I had it - about 1,5 weeks ago. All prego women at my OB/Gyn got to take it for free. Didnt feel a thing, not when I took it, not after. I'll rather have the vaccine then the swine flu - I don't mess around with that and can't imagine putting my bean through it and the risk of complications.

I got my H1N1 last week, feel just fine. Also, the seasonal flu shot is concidered SAFE for pregnant women so there is no reason you shouldnt get your flu shot, also the H1N1 is made in the same exact manor as the seasonal flu shot.

I am getting so confused with all the conflicting info I keep getting. As if you don't have enough to worry about when pregnant it would be nice if us women were given some really strong info as to whether to have it or not.

1. Is it best to have the jab in the 1st tri or after this??
2. Are there any known side-effects of the flu jab to unborn babies?
3. Why are there different versions of the jab around the world and what is the difference?

Grrrrr!!

I chickened out and didn't go, lost a lot of sleep over it and decided if I was so worried might be best not to have it

I got both the H1N1 and the flu and feel great. I know a couple of pregnant friends that are fighting for their lives and they are pregnant they will be lucky enough to make it through nevermind the bean. I have felt great ever since. So ladies if you are worried then stop worrying and get your shots. If you don't you might not get sick if you don't and you get sick you will wish you had gotten it. Best of Luck ladies
