Worried about having the HIV test... I know I am being silly and probably ok but I am really worried.. I keep thinking what if it came back positive...

I'm Currently Feeling:  | I'm not sure if they do that over here?? I know I get tested though when I donate blood and I remember once being worried about it after being stupid and having unprotected sex. I'm sure you'll be fine. x |

I'm Currently Feeling:  | In my first pregnancy, I had a tendency to be scared about it I was fine then so didn't worry about it the next two times I tested. It's actually peace-of-mind and now my hubby knows he definitely doesn't have it either |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Mervs mum - you can have the triple test, which is just taking some bloods, they test for downs, HIV and syphillis and something else i can't remember though. they do it at about 15/16 weeks i think over here in the UK, and its optional you dont have to have it done. |

I'm Currently Feeling:  | Yeah I'm having my bloods done soon and have to admit the thought has crossed my mind, but I am a worrier!!!
I am sure you will be fine so try not to get too stressed about it!

I'm Currently Feeling: | Thanks guys - Im glad Im not the only one ... I had a big health screening done last year got tested for everything apart from HIV so I know Im ok on everything else just that. I had unprotected sex when I was younger and carefree and now Im so worried it will come back and hit me in the face !!! if I wasn't worrying about this it would be something else lol.... | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | OMG! I was just worrying about this very thing!
Not that I have any particular reason to worry, but in the back of my mind I was thinking "I've had unprotected sex once or twice in my younger days, so in theory it's possible I may have this & just not be aware of it"
I'm sure we'll all be ok, and as you say... now that we're pregnant we're always worrying about something! so I guess this is just another of those silly things we have to panic about!! | | | | Status: Offline
