8 weeks pregnant and morning sickness started to ease - reason to be worried?

Hi everyone

I have wondered about this for the last 3 days, didn't wanna ask the question but I can't stop worrying.

From 6 weeks onwards I was feeling sick 24 hours a day every day and since Friday my morning sickness got a lot better. I started feeling sick much later in the day and yesterday it didnt hit me until 4pm, I did have to throw up once and felt sick until I had my dinner then it was all gone again. And today I'm only feeling slightly sick nothing compared to how it was. Do I need to worry?

I can't think about anything else anymore!

Hi Hun,

Im in a similar situation to you but i havent had hardly any morning sickness this time. I have had a scan last week at 8wk +2 and everything was fine but im really worried as i was pregnant aug 07 had awful morning sickness till 9 weeks then at the scan had a mmc then got pregnant 3 months later had morning sickness till about 16 weeks not severe though and had a little boy and now i havent really had hardly any symptoms at all no morning sickness no sore boobs just a little bit tired. I spoke to midwife and she says its perfectly normal not to have morning sickness and maybe because my son is only 13 months my body has done it all before so the hormones arnt affecting me as much. i dont know wether i believe this but then some people dont get any morning sickness so lets just hope were lucky and that your symptoms are just easing off. You could always ring the early pregnancy unit and explain your worries they may let you have an early scan to put your mind at rest. I hope everything is ok try not to worry.

Ruth

Thank you, I only got one child and with her I felt sick 24/7 til I was 13/14 weeks and this time thats how it started, I think I read too much about MMCs on the internet now. I rang my GP its him who I need to contact in emergencies and he said not to worry and just wait for my 11 week scan. So I guess I will have to wait... maybe I will feel sick again later and I still got that foul taste in my mouth, at least something. My boobs were never really sore so I can't go by that...

Hi Linn

I wouldnt worry. I had really bad sickness in 1st tri. But sometimes i wouldnt have anything for 3 or 4 days and then it would return with a vengence. Just remember that you dont have to have morning sickness everyday. Some ladies only experience it once or twice through their whole pregnancy. Enjoy your sickness free days while they last

it will start to ease as your pregnancy progresses its quite normal its amazing actually because with me as soon as i hit the 12 week mark i felt great it was like a switch and it had turned itself off. xx

Hi Linn
I wouldn't worry so much. When i was pregnant with my 1st, i didn't have any morning sickness at all and had a beautiful and healthy baby boy!
This time, I feel much worse and wish for my syptoms to ease up a bit!
I've heard that if you don't get much MS your likely to have a boy , and if your having a girl you get lots of MS!
Old wives tale, but it'll be interesting to find out!!!!

If i didnt have any MS I wouldnt worry so much, it just worries me that it just suddenly stopped, but I guess I will just have to worry for my 11 week scan

Thank you everybody!

I haven't been sick this morning either Linn, and you know how bad I've been. It's weird isn't it? You know what though, I bet later on today we will be back attached to that toilet wishing we didn't worry and just made the most of it. There doesn't seem any pattern to my sickness at all x

Thank you for this Lili, I have been doing too much research on the net reading about all those MMCs, I was the same yesterday and did throw up again in the afternoon. I hope both our little beans are just fine. 3 more weeks until I can have a scan... I know I should enjoy it but I'm wishing to feel sick again all day long. It was horrid but at least I didn't worry about the baby at all
