What would you do? please help me decide!

Im asking everywhere & I Know this is not first Tri related...I have been here officially twice in 3 months!! Im posting here since some of you will have been in my situation and are now obviously on your merry way to having a baby.........

ok heres me..... 2 MCs in 3 months. One at 7+5 had a D&C was good and did as i was told & waited for AF to arrive before TTC, caught again the cycle after only to end at 4 weeks (chemical)

Its like this...we have to wait for 3 MCs to be referred for proper tests. Having basic bloods/hormones done on Monday. My GP will refer me but the wait is 18weeks or something for my hospital and im not sure they are into all the immune stuff anyway. (I already have auto immune problems with eyes and joints)

I have BUPA with work but again they wont pay til its 3 times!

SO!!!! Im in 2 minds, do we wait a month or 2 now after this chemical and see a private guy in Dec/Jan (thats the wait time for them at mo) and pay for the tests ourselves at over £1500 OR do we TTC straight away, if its meant to be its meant to be and if 3 happens (please no) I can get BUPA to pay everything straight after!!!

What should I do, half of me says just go for it and keep the money for if we really need it after the testing, the other half of me says wait and spend the money on testing! We cant really afford it to be honest!!

HELP ME DECIDE!!!!!

hi hun x wow what a situation to be in , personally and i'm not saying this is the right choice for you and i'm not telling you what to do, but if i was you i would just carry on and try again because you never know 3rd time lucky!! just have a successful pregnancy and see the out come 3rd time? i have known girls ( my sister for one) to have lots of m/c and chemicals i think she had about 3 chemicals and 5 m/c's wqs no cause because she has one on the way due in feb, so really must be a horrible choice to make .. all i can say is what i think and offer my support and i'm sure the other ladies here who are fantasic by the way will offer you more advice or their opinion, good luck hun and fx for you ... loads of baby sticky dust for you xxxxx

I'm on my 3rd pregnancy in 7 months, the first 2 sadly ending in mc... After the last mc (aug) I was also told to wait at least one cycle but fell pregnant within 2 weeks.... I feel entirely different this time. Apart from the fact that I am now about a week further along then I've ever been before... the ms is awful... This is a good sign I'm told. I have an early scan on Monday as I am really anxious.

My thinking was to let 'fate' take control. This may sound niave but I was fed up of constantly thinking about getting pregnant... I decided to enjoy hubby, have fun and what will be, will be.

It is a little daft to me to get yourself into debt to get the private tests... you will need all the money you can get when you get your baby! Take the pressure off yourself. If things did end in another disaster next time then as awful as that would be.. it would get the ball running with all thest tests.

Good luck babe xx

Aww beachlover I'm sorry for your losses.

Obviously this is something only you can decide and I have absolutely no medical knowledge of this at all so this is a simple and humble opinion...

I would say that there is usually a reason that they wont test until number 3 (as awful as that sounds). maybe it is because a 3rd MC after 2 is rare? (Again I am speculating).. If this was the case then there would be good chances of a healthy pregnancy next time around?? But I completely understand being wary of putting yourselves through such heartache again.

I'm sorry if my opinion is out of place as I cannot even begin to know what you are going through.

Can you have a chat with a doctor about the reasons behind the medical procedures.. they may help enlighten your decision?

big

Hi BeachLover,

Im so sorry to hear of your losses.
I am on my 5th pregnancy after 4 MC, three of which have been in the last 12 months.

I have had the tests done and they have all come back fine! If I MC this time i will be refered to one of two clinics within the NHS for more testing, although I have now been told that the channces of them finding a cause may be slim.

I guess what Im trying to say is that its very expensive to go privately for tests that could still come back inconclusive?

I understand the need and want to know if somthing is wrong and what it is, i have been there so many times, but to get yourself into debt doing it isnt wise.

I agree with some of the other girls and I would keep trying, there are hundreds of women who have RCMC's but then go on to have healthy pregnancies!

Good Luck with everything and I hope that you have a sticky bean very very soon!!

Love Sarah xxx

I'd say to try again.

Good luck to you
