Finally, I get to experience a moment!

Feels like the weeks are dragging by and I am only in my 12 week. I can't wait for my scan but the appointment will be made today and it will be done later in March.

However, I have a doctor's appointment in about 5 hours and perhaps I can hear the baby's heart rate!!! This should relieve some anxiety until I get my doppler in the mail

I mentioned this yesterday in another thread, but for some reason I have a sense of foreboding with this pregnancy. I can't seem to foresee the end where I have my baby....feel that something may go wrong. My hubby thinks I am still in shock as this was an unplanned pregnancy and I thought I was done with having babies years ago. He could be right.

I could be thinking this way too because of my age.

All in all, I am generally good with instincts but I hope this one proves wrong!

ooh.. I love hearing bubs HB... let us know how it goes.

I think we all have this sense of foreboding... maybe it's a self protection mechanism, just in case anything did go wrong.

12 weeks is that 'magic' point, where all your worries are supposed to just disappear... but I'm sure we'll be finding plenty more to worry about then.

I'm sure everything will go perfectly for you.

Good luck with your appointment!! Keep in mind that it is very very difficult to find the heartbeat at this stage, so don't worry if the doctors have a hard time finding it. When I was 13 weeks along it took the person doing it about 15 minutes to locate the baby's heartbeat and when she did we heard it for about 3 second before the baby moved.

In my first pregnancies, they found the heartbeats this early, but each pregnancy is different I'll try not to get disappointed if my doctor can't find it. Try being the keyword. LOL

Good luck! I know I about died when she couldn't find the heartbeat, luckily she asked me if I'd like her to keep trying and she did.

Thanks to all! Hearing the heartbeat is such a special moment

In the next three months there will be something happening each month. March is when my first scan is, April I will have my amnio and in May I am going to book a 4D scan And inbetween all that I will turn the ripe old age of 39

BTW, here's a happy thought. I am finally under the 200 day mark. LOL

Mind you, it will be 14 days less than that too. For a planned C-section, they deliver at 38 weeks.

I am 38 and going on 39 within a few months. I was given the option and I truly think it's something that I should do to rule out Downs Syndrome. They say there is a higher chance of DS for each year after you are 35.

I would like to rule it out, just in case.

BTW, definitely not looking forward to it but one positive thing is they can confirm the gender
