scan showed nothing??!

hi all yesterday i had an early scan as i have a blocked tube and was sent as they wanted to check me out? according to my last period i should have been 5 week and 4 days yesterday but when the doctor scanned me externally and internally she could see NOTHING

she said it may be too early but that she cannot rule ectopic out i have no pain (just a little achy)or bleeding but cant understand why nothing was there they say i may not be as far along as i think but with my son they scanned early and said they could see his hb sac and everything at 4-5 weeks im not so sure if they were right as i didnt think you could see all this so early i had hcg levels done and they were 660 and am going tomorr for them repeating i am soo upset i cant think of anything eles i cant understand why nothing is there!
Anyone have any experience or advice to add thanks!

I have no real advice other than to wait for your bloods. Scanning so early can be tricky and its not uncommon for nothing to be seen at this stage. If your HCg levels are rising, Im sure they will book you in for another scan in a week or so.

Could you have ovulated late? I ovulated on cd20, so if I went by my LMP, I'd be almost a week ahead of where I am. (i.e. I'm 6 weeks when calculating using ovulation date, and would be almost 7 weeks using LMP).

hi all thx for replies, i suppose i could of ovulated late although i usually have pain when i ovulate and i did this month i got my ovulation to 26th of sep but i also had a little spotting and pain on this day (i know this as i was at a baby shower that day and didnt feel great) so just dont understand really??

hiya just an update from my last post as they couldnt see anything in my womb, 4 days later my hcg levels have risen to 3690 from 630 and had another scan this time they could see a 4mm sac but she said she couldnt see a yolk or fetal pole and need to have another scan in a week she said she could see some echoes(??) in the sac but couldnt make out what they were yet she said this is positive but i feel that this seems to be progressing very slowley i should of been 6+1 then unless im less weeks than this i fainted aswell on saturday so they took me in overnight to hospital thinking i had ectopic which was ruled out, anyone had anything like this happen to them and it turn out good??.

At 5 weeks they couldn't see anything externally on me but from a TV scan they saw a 7mm Gestational sac!
