pcos and pregnancy


An after thought after my last post: I am on metformin should I still be taking it. Lots of different advice about it on the internet! Help

You should really speak to your GP - They should advise you anyway after you inform them of your pregnancy so I would book an appointment

I'm Currently Feeling: 



I have pcos as well & am on metformin. My understanding (confirmed by my ob/gyn) is that continuing it through the first trimester can reduce the risk of miscarriage (which is higher in women with pcos).

I have PCOS and I my Ob told me to continue with Metformin throughout my first Trimester. He ssid that reserach has shown that Metformin lowers chances of GDM. But of course every case is different. Do speak to your MD...
