It really comes down to what you feel most comfortable with doing. I told my immediate family right away (like 2 minutes after the + came up on the test). But we chose not to tell our friends straight away (except for my best friend and his best friend). In the end it didn't matter as my friends figured it out by 9 weeks and my mom told everyone she came into contact with

Hey
I told my closest friends when I was about 6 weeks pregnant so if anything went wrong I would have someone to talk to.
My OH has told is family as he was so excited and i said it was up to him!!
I have yet to tell my family, I have a scan tomorrow so if everything is OK I may tell them after that.
I think its down to personal choice, and its when you feel comfortable with your pregnancy. I find its nice at the start when its just you and your OH that you know and you can keep it your "little secret"
