Vitamin B Complex and Omega Fish Oil Pills?

I'm about 5 weeks pregnant, first appt isn't until 11/3. I used to take a vitamin B complex and omega fish oil pills everday in addition to my prenatal. Does anyone know if I'm able to continue taking these? I feel like I could be calling my Dr. every day with new questions I have.

Hey MrsBlue16,

I've had RCMs and took B6 prior to this pregnancy and changed to B Complex 50 at 4 weeks pregnant. It helps with progesterone so I plan on taking it for the next few months.

Not sure about the Omega Fish Oil.

It's always best to check with your GP and they can tell you whether there are any contraindications with any medication you're on at the moment. Fish oils tend only to be incompatible with blood-thinning medication such as warfarin.

Fish oil, if it's purified and molecularly distilled, is likely a very beneficial supplement for the growth and development of your child. I'd avoid cheap supplements, which don't go through the same filtering processes.

The advice we tend to give to our pregnant clients taking Vegepa is no more than 2 daily.

Hi

I had a chat with my mw about fish oils yesterday and she recommended eating fish rather than taking a suppliment - something to do with vit A in the capsules??
