I'm Currently Feeling: | how long did your morning sickness last? i'm 6 weeks pregnant and my gosh, i am SO sick! i can only have ice blocks and water because anything else i eat gets thrown up straight away. after a week of constant nausea and intense vomiting i went to my doctor and she gave me anti-nausea medication to take, stuff that's designed specifically for morning sickness. it seems to help stop the vomiting except at night when i don't take it and my body wakes me up to throw up!
the thought of going through this for another few weeks is enough to make me cry. i miss not feeling sick. i would give anything to make this nausea go away.
has anyone else had severe morning sickness? how long did yours last? |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I had nausea but only threw up a couple of times. I was sick from week 5 1/2 to week 9, but it differs for each person. I hope yours ends soon |

I'm Currently Feeling: | In the beginning I was very sick all day long. It only lasted up until the 7-8 week for me...Morning sickness is one of those things that there is no set time for it to stop unfortunatley!! Some people have it for a few weeks others have it up until they are due. I wish I had a magic number for you..but I don't. A lot of times docs say after the first trimester it settles down ...i hope that is the case for you. My doc gave me a med called diclectin...it worked well for me. Good Luck!! | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | i've been throwing up so much that just now i threw up and there was blood in it. the doctors are closed right now (it's 5am) but i will call as soon as they open. my throat feels raw so it's probably just damaged my throat lining from so much throwing up. something tells me i may wind up in hospital with this morning sickness... |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I know everything your going thru hun, from week 6 i was throwing up everything even water, I went to my doc, but he wouldn't give me anything just sent me into hospital, were i was on a drip for 3 days I was so dehydrated, but it made me feel a lot better, and I found out after that I had a urine infection so am feeling even better now after the antibiotics, am still being sick about two times a day but its a lot better then five or six. I found the sickness bands helped a little bit, also try to aviod smells that make you feel ill, mine is ciggy smoke and air freshners. Hope you feel better soon. |
