I feel fat!

O.K. This is going to sound nuts....maybe. I am having a real hard time these last few days looking at myself. My waste is defineately thicker along with my butt and legs and well my whole body. I was lucky enough to not get nausea (for I am thankful) but I was totally opposite! I could eat everything except veggies turned me off. I have gained at least 10 pounds in 3 months and it is fat not baby. I am being hard on myself I know but the only clothes that fit me are sweats and baggie pants and I feel like a slob. The hubby and I are going to see his family for a week on Saturday and I can't muster up excitement because I feel frumpy and constipated! (Sorry) I am sorry if I sound ungrateful but I do love my bean and it means everything to keep my health to give Bean optimal health but I am craving such horrible things. I need some advice from you all.

You are kind of not in control of your bod in the first 12-14 weeks or so..... sorry !!!
Just go with it. Around now, the placenta will start to produce the hormones to support baby, instead of you producing them. This is what causes the sickness and headaches and tiredness...and, well..... pregnancy stuff.
Try to make sure you're getting all the vitamins you need, and drink plenty of fluids, and worry about what you're eating afterwards.....

Go to the docs and get something for the constipation would be my advice! I felt the same and still feel the same but a lot better now I have emptied (sorry TMI) myself! You feel much better about everything when you can go and do the toilet properly!

It may not make you feel any better, Christina, but i feel pretty much the same. no offence to some of the other ladies in here but i have never been much of an exersice freak and these days i can barely drag myself out of bed to go to work, let alone run around the block in the freezing dark once i have schlepped myself and shopping home about 6 in the evening.

Maternity leave seems like such a looong time away!!! anyway, first of all i've been told that some ladies put most of their weight in the beginning while others pile it on later on- needless to say im hoping im in the first group, ha,ha!!

But seriously, try to buy some nice maternity stuff on ebay. ive already bought myself a stunning (if i do say so myself brand new topshop maternity dress for a tenner.. and i bought it in 2 sizes bigger, oh yes!! in fact, when i tried it on yesterday OH said, isnt it too big for you and then promptly had trouble w/the zip.. i explained that its the boob issue (i have always been medium to large and well, now im just large-period w/expectations of going larger and i know its always an issue in tops and dresses).. also i expect to blow up at some point- and it will be in the middle of summer- i refuse to look like a heifer.. etc etc ..the list goes on and on..

point is, you're not alone.. i dont have a bump but a rather impressive roll of fat.( and i was not fat to begin with may i add).. i have had ungodly( well, still do if im honest) things going on in my nether regions and when i went to this pregnany diet and physiotherapy session yesterday i felt like a total lepper being the only one out 12 that has had no nausea... at least we dont have to eat ginger buiscuits and stuff like that. go and pamper yourself a bit and hopefully soon this down will lift and you'll feel better about it all!! xx

Hmm most of my pants dont fit anymore. I've had to go up a size and buy stretchy waistbands in order to feel comfortable.
The most horrific for me was seeing how much weight I'd gained in two weeks at the dr's room on Wednesday. I nearly passsed out LOL I've never gained that much in such a short period.

When I had morning sickness it wasn't so bad but geez I can go through food at the moment. It's terrible! I'm always hungry!

Just remember. You're not fat you're pregnant! hehehehe

I was like you Christina, i did not endure any sickness but my appetite soared! I reckon i've put on at least 14lb. Although my eating has slowed down a little now, so hopefully things will weigh themselves out. I reckon if you feel hungry you should eat, your body must need it!
