| Im so ill any ideas? Hello,
can anyone advise me on this..iv come down with a really really bad cold. sore throat, runny nose, sneezing the works!!
Thing is im 11 weeks pregnant and i cant take meds, im really suffering.
can anyone suggest any safe remedies for this? iv drank honey but its not working very well

| yup ive just had this cold thingy its awful isnt it!.... hot water with a tiny bit of fresh garlic and fresh ginger with a few slices of lemon and some honey(or sugar)i found it worked a treat!!! cleared my nose right out (i like lots of ginger!)  | | | | Status: Offline

| Ive been suffering with this for the last week too! I wasn;t aware of anything we could take so have just sucked menthol sweets and had lots of rest. Colds when pregnant SUCK!!!! Hope you feel better soon xxx | | | | Status: Offline

| You can take a couple of paracetamol, that may help ease the symptoms a lot for you, but if your anything like me you wont take any meds at all while preggers lol......

| ive had it for 3 weeks now ...the actual cold is subsiding but im left with a horrible cough, ive been taking paracetamol and drinking hot water with a spoon of honey and a squeeze of lemon juice...unfortunately theres not alot you can do whilst pregnant....i hope you get well soon..xx | | | | Status: Offline

| Steam!! Sit in the bathroom and run a really hot shower and deeply inhale the steam. I have had two bad colds since getting pregnant. I also have gotten these menthol tablets called Sudafed Shower Soothers at the store, they are like tablets you put on the floor of your shower and as the hot shower water hits them it releases a menthol type scented steam which helps clear your airways (similar to vics vapor rub you rub on your chest). This helped me a lot, as did rubbing a tiy bit of vics vapor rub under my nose to breath. | | | | Status: Offline
