I am now 6 weeks one day. I had sharp cramps/pain on my right side before we even knew were were pregnant. They continued so I went in last Thursday the 1st for an emergency apt. due to the cramps. The Dr. said I would spot after the apt due to the exam. No baby on the screen yet no heart beat etc. I was worried. I spotted ALL weekend and then yesterday (Monday) I went to the bathroom and I had A lot or actual blood there. ( My spotting was pinkish brown before). I was so scared! I called the Dr.'s office and made an apt, for today. Overnight my spotting went back to the brownish color. My baby is just fine. I even got to see the heart flicker. The Dr. then told me the spotting is just fine and to not worry about it. She also said I only have a 5% chance of having a miscarriage at this point which was music to my ears. Whew, this was a very stressful week with the cramps (which are growing pains fyi) and the red blood and the lack of sleep from worrying I am exhausted! So glad my baby is good and has a heart beat. It is the best news I have ever heard. I know there are several posts on here about cramps and spotting, hope this helps!
